DOF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Officer for the Skandi Atlantic. This position will need to be endorsed as a Master COC with a Darwin Port PEC exemption that is valid. The Chief COC would demonstrate experience working in Darwin in a similar in the last 12 months. This is a casual position with a commencement date of 06th December and for two weeks initially.
Requirements
Valid STCW certification and relevant seafarer qualifications.
Proven experience as a Chief Officer with Master COC, Darwin Pilot Exemption Inner Harbour
Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety management systems, and operational procedures.
Good communication and leadership skills to manage deck personnel effectively.
DP (Dynamic Positioning) certification is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Commitment to promoting a positive and safe working environment onboard.
Proficient in emergency response and safety management protocols.
Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to support colleagues.
