Join Our Team as the Employment and Workplace Relations Lead

DOF is seeking an experienced Employment and Workplace Relations Lead to join our dynamic HR team, to provide strategic Employment and Industrial Relations support to the Company across the Asia Pacific Region.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our workplace relations strategy, enhancing employee engagement, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and providng advice to help maintain a harmonious workplace.

The Employment and Workplace Relations Lead will act as a trusted advisor on all matters concerning employment and workplace relations, workplace policies, and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering a positive and safe work environment. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with various stakeholders within DOF and externally to support our business objectives. The role has an Australian focus with a Asia Pacific Region scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of workplace relations strategies and policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support on complex employee and workplace relations issues, recommending solutions to maintain a harmonious working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Company to foster a positive, productive and safe workplace culture.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulations, enterprise agreements, client requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor current employment and workplace relations issues and anticipate future potential areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Maintain external relationships, including with unions, clients, industry groups and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business / Commerce, Law, Labour relations, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in employment /industrial relations, gained in Senior HR / IR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of current Australian employment legislation, employment regulations and awards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide advice on complex and sensitive situations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing workplace policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data and review legislation / regulations to inform decision-making.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
