DOF is a leading international group of companies specializing in offshore and subsea services. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing project activities, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budget. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in coordinating with various stakeholders and driving project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Experience in project engineering within the offshore/subsea industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality projects and exceeding client expectations

Education:

  • Tertiary education Bachelor Degree in the following Engineering disciplines: Civil,
  • Mechanical, Mechatronics and Oil & Gas
  • (Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency.) Experience / Knowledge:
  • Demonstrable relevant engineering experience (Minimum of 8-10 years relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to perform and achieve at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Experience mentoring engineering personnel
  • Management of subcontracts and subcontractors
  • Experience in site management of fabrication subcontractors and Site Integration and Factory Acceptance Testing of equipment and tooling packages for the oil and gas industry
  • Management of QA/QC issues principles
  • Detailed understanding of relevant codes and standards.
  • Understanding of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment tools and techniques
  • General understanding of project management tools and techniques (including cost and schedule control)
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Leadership/Frontline Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages - Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Highly confident, self-motivated and self-disciplined person with sound management and organisational skills
