We currently have a short-term opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Officer, who is passionate about numbers and spreadsheets and who take pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

We have a highly competent and dedicated Payroll Team who manage a complex and varied payroll for permanent and casual employees across our Asia Pacific Region. Our Payroll Team Leader and team, needs an 'extra pair of hands' for a period of 6 months and this opportunity would go to someone who has been in a Payroll Officer / Specialist position for aprox 3-4 years and been involved with working under tight deadlines and fast and accurate payroll preparation.

As a skilled Payroll Officer, you will be confident and comfortable working with end-to-end payroll cycle as well as performing GL account reconciliation and reporting; and you will have a sound understanding of various tax and other payroll related legislative requirements. You will be a reliable team player who is highly organized and who thrives in a fast-paced, busy and deadline driven position, with the strong ability to maintain an exceptional data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities will cover the following:

  • Assist with the processing of permanent and casual payrolls for both our Australian and Singaporean entities;
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of competence in the use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, including formulas
  • End of month and end of year reconciliation and reporting;
  • Ensure wages and tax withholding complies with relevant legislative requirements;
  • Remittance payment and reconciliation of PAYG tax, superannuation, payroll tax etc;
  • Reconciliation of GL accounts;
  • Respond to Payroll queries from our employees across the Asia Pacific region;
  • Assist with the operation of our electronic timekeeping system;
