More than ten years ago, Léa Guatterie brought her engineering background from France to DOF Australia. Since then, she has contributed to a wide range of offshore operations across Australia, New Caledonia, Brunei, and Vietnam. Her work has included ROV and saturation diving projects, as well as more specialised scopes such as navigational aid replacements and 3D mapping of subsea assets.
"Each project, no matter the size, brought its own lessons and learning opportunities", Léa shares.
Over the years, Léa has taken on new challenges and grown within DOF. In 2023, she stepped into the role of Project Manager for a major IMR contract in Australia, where she leads a team of seven Project Engineers and oversees near-continuous vessel operations.
As her responsibilities grew, and with curiosity and a strong interest in people and progress, Léa was selected for the DOF Ambassador Programme - a global initiative that connects colleagues across regions to strengthen collaboration and professional growth.
“The experience helped me grow professionally and personally, expand my network and strengthen my strategic thinking”, Léa says.
After completing the programme, Léa hosted the 2024 DOF International Women’s Day Panel, highlighting her passion for inclusion and teamwork. Today, she continues her engagement through the DOF Global Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which works to promote an inclusive and supportive workforce across the Group.
“DOF’s support and culture of equal opportunity have empowered me to take on new responsibilities and contribute beyond my technical role”, Léa reflects.
